Attention: This update will also upgrade the console box. Therefore, once you launch latest version 3.5, you can never use the old version again.
Update Feature:
1) Support for Hitachi 7K1000.B (SLA3) Family
The capacity of Deskstar 7K1000.B HDD is from 160GB (HDT721016SLA380) to 1TB (HDT721010SLA380) and the HDD is named as SLA3 family in the program. All features, like reading/writing firmware, clearing password, adding defects to P-List etc, are supported now in HD Doctor for Hitachi data recovery tool. While, head Dopoping functions will be added soon in the next upgrade.
2)Bugfix of “5a”
In previous version, the program may get stuck and report on “5a” when you read firmware from HDD with bad sectors in service area. The bug is fixed in version 3.5 and the program can read firmware normally with no more “5a”.
