Today we announced the update for the Hitachi utility of HD Doctor Suite. The version of HD Dcotor for Hitachi will be upgraded from version 3.0 to version 3.2 after the installation.

New Features Added

1. Support for new series 5450（MODEL：HTS5450XXB9A300) was added. This newly released model has not been supported by any other available products in the world! For this newly added series, HD Doctor Hitachi utility is able to do operations include read/write of service area, password removal, NVRAM Repair, etc. which allows you to perform professional data recovery from this 5450 series while others can't.
2. The feature to read reserved NVRAM copy from service area in the case, when users load the drive manually by "Load from File", was enabled, which allows users to use the reserved NVRAM content in the SA to recover the NVRAM directly after the SA positioning was done, without performing the data area positioning. This feature is extremely important in the case, when the NVRAM positioning operation locates "fake parameters" (this is common in new Hitachi drives with high density design, sometimes there will be 100-1000 sectors accessible even without the data area positioning, but the other sectors remain unreachable). This unique feature supports ALL Hitachi HDDs with reserved NVRAM copy in the SA, include laptop series like 5412, 5416, 5425, 5432 and 5450; desktop series like VLAT/VLA3, PLAT/PLA3, KLAT/KLA3, DLAT/DLA3 and GLAT/GLA3.
3. Newly designed GUI for faster startup and more user-friendly.

Bugs Fix

1. Fixed the bug in the case, when HDD with its MODEL number contains "HITACHI" (fully capitalized) can't be normally detected. PS: The MODEL number of Hitachi HDD generally contains "Hitachi" (initcap), while some HDDs are "HITACHI" (fully capitalized).
2. Fixed the bug of Delay Test during NVRAM repair. For some HDDs, the program will prompt that the selected NVRAM file doesn't match, which is caused by
this bug.
3. Fixed the incorrect address of NVRAM copy in service area for 5425 series.
