I hope I am in the correct forum. I have a question regarding P-LIST issues. I have a WD2500BB drive with 4987 bad records - the max is 1000 before overflow condition. Is it safe to clear these or will the data be removed? I have been reading about this condition, but uncertain of next step.

Yes your data will be removed.
if you change P list, data will be lost, for ever.

The 4987 records should be added by someone. It won't do this automatically.
