Generally, the Module 2E of all Black I HDDs will report error when scanned. It will not influence normal work of the HDD and you can just ignore it.

The HDD will make sounds at power up, including seeking sound of head, spinning sound of motor, clicking sound and so on. So you need to carefully verify which kind of sound it is. For normal sound (seeking sound, motor sound), you just don’t need to care it. If it is clicking sound, there should be some malfunction with the head, firmware or PCBA.
