The ROM file of Maxtor is usually used in redefining major head as you must select the matching ROM when
carrying out this operation. Now, we would like to introduce how to identify the suitable ROM file
Usually, two major parameters are being considered when recognizing ROM file.
First, you can see the third digit countdown of code on HDD is B or V. If it is B, that is for 1B. If it is V, that is for 1V.
However, this parameters also can be reflect in 11th digit of ROM file, if it is W, that is1V ROM file. If it is J, that is

The second parameter is magnet head number. The digit in the ROM file name represents primary head number.
Shown as in the above 2 pictures, the first primary head is 3, the latter primary head is 2
