In the process of data recovery from drives with firmware corruption, the most worry is the damage of P-list Module.
It is because that P list contains the original defective records of this drive. Once it is damaged and there is no
original backup, although it is can be repaired by uploading the donor firmware, the data will be mixed up due to the disorder of defective distribution. Furthermore, P-list is also the essential module which will be loaded when hard disk mounts. In every mount of hard drive, this module will be read, then magnetism   of this module sectors will be decreased gradually, finally bring damage to this module. Therefore, P-list module is the one which has a high damage rate.
For Maxtor drive, there is one special NO. 51 module which uses PCHS to record the original defective list of this
drive. This module itself will not be involved in drive mount; even the work of drive will not use this module. Then
the damage rate for this module is very low. The kernel for importing the P-list is to rebuild 24, 55, 120 modules
which are defective list modules essential for drive mount on the foundation of the original defective list.

No. 51 module is composed by two parts: HUTIL and HUSR which separately records the original information of U-
list (SA Defective) and P-list (Data Area Defective). So far as the P-list has never been changed, then we can
importing this module and rebuild the original P-list to recover data.

If the PCB, motor and the head have been confirmed without any problem, the first possibility is firmware error.
Then, we need solve this problem with the solution to firmware error.
Jump the HDD to safe mode first, and then restart. After the hard disk is ready, enter "LOAD HDD MAAGEMENT",
and select the load file".
