This case study was about a system development I should think, not a software engineering improvement. The article was all about the DC GUI which I think SD wanted to show the improvements.
That is fine, but SD is describing moving from one system to another without breaking the power supply to the hard drive. What should have rather been illustrated was
1.	How the hard drive is connected to the HD Doctor (system 1)
2.	Then the HD Doctor application is closed and
3.	The USB connection is removed and attached to the Data Compass (system 2) – and where exactly the USB connection is located on the Data Compass.

If this is rather shown it would help the user who has both tools.

the connection to the computer to hd doctor is usb so the data transfer is 480b/s if you do not use any other usb device.
this connection should be thru the ide or sata cable. usb is to slow.

I am amazed by the new added functions in DC 6.
In India we have an accounting software called Tally.
Inspite of recovering all the deleted files, the customer says those are not the files which were deleted.and in the process of showing recovered files , we are not valued for our work and we become financial loosers as the client pays nothing if his recovered data is incorrect.
I suggest that to prove that a recovery has been done well and all data recovered , Salvaton Data must also add a feature to RECOVER AND SAVE the most recent work or last DATA work done on the DRIVE with date and assessed time. it can be done for .temp files or any file to help us prove a client that Salvation data compass recovered even the last created or deleted file and the client has to agree that S D COMPASS RECOVERY is very efficent than a software used recovery.Or we should have a log file mentioning the most recent file modified or created or saved.(sorry for errors).
Thank you

The connection of HD Doctor to work station computer is IDE cable and the data transfer speed is PCI so we call it PCI cable. Thanks for your attention!
